Grilled Artichokes

Yields: 2 servings (1/2 an artichoke)

  • 1 artichoke
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • juice from half a lemon
  • pinch of coarse salt


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Slice artichoke in half and immediately put it in the water. Boil 15 minutes.
  3. Melt the butter and add the garlic, lemon juice and salt and whisk together.
  4. Preheat grill to medium.
  5. Grill the artichokes on both sides, 15 minutes total, while basting with the butter sauce.
